CENTRAL OKANAGAN FOUNDATION KELOWNA KIWANIS 2017 LEGACY FUND KGH FOUNDATION KELOWNA KIWANIS 2017 LEGACY FUND
In 2016, we sold the Kiwanis Tower. Our goal was to ensure that the proceeds would be invested to provide optimal benefits to our community in perpetuity. The Central Okanagan Foundation and The KGH Foundation both met and exceeded our requirements. “We are very excited that children and youth in our little part of the world will benefit from this endowment well beyond our lifetimes.” Bob Bissell, COKCSS President, Kelowna Kiwanis Legacy 2017 Fund. The COF received a $725,000 Endowment for Children’s Services & Programs, while the KGH Foundation received a $4,000,000 Endowment for Children’s Health.
PURPOSE
The purpose of both funds is to give grants to organizations to benefit children and youth programming within the Central Okanagan area (SD#23 Boundaries). The Central Okanagan Foundation Kelowna Kiwanis 2017 Legacy Fund mainly supports arts and culture programs, while the KGH Foundation Kelowna Kiwanis 2017 Legacy Fund supports projects that promote health and wellness.
