The Importance of Fundraising for Kiwanis
Kiwanis Clubs support a wide range of initiatives, including building playgrounds, sponsoring youth leadership
programs, offering scholarships, and addressing teen mental health. Effective fundraising is essential to
expand service projects, provide scholarships, support programs such as Terrific Kids, and more.
The Kiwanis Club of the Central Okanagan raises funds through several sources, with significant support from
the BC Gaming Commission. While their contribution is greatly appreciated, it does not fully meet our needs.
As a result, we currently operate several fundraising programs.
